Prologue incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in Chicago, Illinois in 2008.

Company Members
Jess Gyori-Eisenberg, Managing Director
Jess Gyori-Eisenberg is an accomplished actor, singer, playwright and pianist. Beginning her theatrical career officially at age 8 in a production of "Fiddler on the Roof," she continued performing in productions such as "Peter Pan" (Wendy), "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (Vibrata), "Meet Me in St. Louis" (Katie), and "The Taffetas" (Donna). She attended Harrison Arts Center and also holds a degree in Theatre and Political Science and a history minor from the University of Central Florida. Her Chicago credits include, "The Vagina Monologues" directed by Margo Gray, "Tony n Tina's Wedding," "Expectations" with XO Theatre, and "Winnie the Pooh" and "Where the Sidewalk Ends" with American Eagle. This season Jess served as musical director for Prologue's productions
of Sex by Mae West and The Cat's Meow: a vaudeville, which
she also wrote. She also penned Social Movements and Lesser Wars for
Prologue's Landmark Festival 2010.
Ms. Gyori-Eisenberg began teaching at Pied Piper Players in 2001 and continued to write, direct, and teach voice, acting, improv. and dance for the next 7 years. She has taught private lessons in piano, voice, acting, and audition preparation for the past 10 years. Currently, she teaches piano and voice for Piano Lessons in Your Home. Her students perform in theatre, television, recitals, beauty pageants, and concert series in the Chicago area and around the country.
Margo Gray, Artistic Director
Margo is a director and theatre jill-of-all-trades. This season she directed three shows for Prologue: Mae West's Sex, The Cat's Meow: a vaudeville, and Vladamir Nabokov's The Wood Sprite. Other favorite projects include The Wonder: a Woman Keeps a Secret (Point of Contention), What of the Night? (Halcyon Theatre) and Poor Bibi (Milwaukee Rep Lab). She spent a year as a Fulbright Fellow working and doing research on stage movement and theatre pedagogy at the Moscow Art Theatre School and the Schukin School in Moscow, Russia. She has also worked at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, where she assistant directed for Timothy Douglas and Joe Hanreddy, among others. Margo is a graduate of Grinnell College. Carrie Hardin, Production Manager
Carrie Hardin is a theatre artist, based in Chicago. This season, Carrie designed costumes for Prologue's production of Mae West's Sex, and played Susan B. Anthony in Social Movements and Lesser Wars as part of Prologue's Landmark Festival. Liking to be as well-rounded as possible, Carrie has worked extensively as an actor, costumer, director, scenic designer, voice coach and Commedia dell'Arte performer. As an actor, she has performed with Promethean, Point of Contention, CityLit, and T.U.T.A., among others. She directed the Chicago premiere of Tim Robbin's Dead Man Walking, as well as several new works by Chicago playwrights, and The Vagina Monologues in Rome, Italy. Carrie studied Scenic Design with Tony-nominated designer Daniel Ostling, and has designed sets, costumes, and props for several shows in and around Chicago. A voice student of Nan Withers-Wilson (author of Vocal Direction for the Theatre), Carrie coaches private students, as well as various productions. Carrie has worked professionally as a mime and circus artist in both Chicago and Italy. She holds a BA in Theatre from Loyola University Chicago.
Amanda King, Business Manager
Amanda Renee King is an actress, writer and singer. Her previous work has included Polly Peachum in The Beggar's Opera, Ru in Beckett's Come and Go and work as a performer and director with the Neverland Players troupe in Iowa. She has studied singing with Martin E. Kelley, acting with Lesley Delmenico and has basic training in ballet. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Grinnell College, which was heavily supplemented with theater coursework. This season, Amanda has been busy behind the scenes at Prologue, serving
as a producer for Sex by Mae West and Landmark 2010.
Whitney A. Morse, Literary Director
Whitney A. Morse is currently a candidate for an MFA in Acting from Columbia University School of the Arts in New York City. She is currently studying under Kristin Linklater, Anne Bogart, Andrei Serban, Andrea Haring, and Larry Singer. She has performed all over the US from Chicago to New York and even Aspen Colorado. Some of her favorite roles include: Claire in Proof, The Bakers Wife in Into The Woods, Meg in Little Women, and of course Ryan's Mother in Ryan's List.
